Welcome to Early Recovery

Your First 6 Weeks After C-Section

Hi there,

Welcome to your personalized postpartum recovery program. Over the next year, we'll be with you every step of the way—from early healing through complete recovery and beyond.

🎯 Early Recovery Priorities

Primary Goals: Focus on physical healing from birth, establish feeding routines, build emotional stability, and create sustainable support systems for recovery.

Key Priorities: Allow your body to heal, bond with your baby, establish breastfeeding (if desired), manage pain effectively, and gradually build strength while preventing complications.

⚠️ Critical Watch-Outs

C-section incision infection (redness, warmth, discharge, worsening pain), excessive bleeding (soaking pad hourly), signs of postpartum depression beyond normal baby blues, breastfeeding complications, and severe fatigue that doesn't improve with rest.

🗓️ Your 6-Week Journey at a Glance

Week 1: Rest & Initial Healing

Focus on pain control, short walks, and bonding. Begin daily BP monitoring. Baby blues may peak days 3-5.

Week 2: Building Confidence

Walk 5-10 minutes 2x daily. Begin Kegels. Baby blues improve. Continue BP monitoring.

Week 3: Gentle Progression

Add light tasks and stretches. Walk 10-20 minutes daily. First outdoor walks with baby.

Week 4: Gaining Strength

Prepare for 6-week checkup. Walk 20-30 minutes daily. Improved physical stamina.

Week 5: Increased Activity

Work toward 30 minutes of walking most days. Plan first solo outings. Reconnect with pre-baby identity.

Week 6: Checkup & Clearance

6-week postpartum visit. Aim for 150 minutes of activity weekly. Get clearance for more vigorous exercise.
